The Big Island Experience

The Big Island of Hawaii is the largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago—almost as large as all the other islands combined—and bursting with life. Within 4,000 square miles of land, you’ll experience dense tropical rainforests, black-sand beaches, snow-capped peaks, remnants of ancient Hawaiian settlements, and the incredible Kilauea volcano.

The Maui Experience

Maui is renowned for its unimaginable beauty. Alpine-like forests cover the upcountry slopes of Mt. Haleakala, the world’s largest dormant volcano. The famed “Road to Hana” hugs the coast, white sandy beaches line the shores, and magnificent sea cliffs hover over the blue Pacific. An aerial tour of Maui will quickly reveal why it’s continually been voted “The World’s Best Island.”

Kauai - Lihue

One aspect of the service deserves a 5 star and another a 1 star. The actual tour, quality of helicopter, pilot, safety--were amazing. The tour of Kauai is stunning. They even play great music via your headphones which really adds to the experience if you are musically/auditorily inclined. The aspect that was 1 star will not apply to most people. I think it's worth sharing the feedback though so policies and professionalism can be reviewed and as forewarning to other people considering booking. My daughter got sick the day of the tour with a viral illness and bronchitis. We had actually just booked the tour the day before with the hotel concierge, and it was never even confirmed with us. At any rate, out of courtesy for the company, I called to ask what they would like us to do, though my daugther wanted to go on the tour. They told me they do not want her to go on the tour but that to get our money back we would have to go see a doctor for a note. Both husband and I are docs--husband is a busy pediatrician. When I went to concierge to update them (they had made the reservation for us), she told me the company told her that we would need a "legitimate" doctor to write the note. Lots of back and forth about the fact that we are both "legitimate" docs with busy practices, verifiable by website. Eventually I gave up and took my daughter on the flight. She felt well enough to go and I was offering not to take her as a courtesy to THEM. I kept picturing her coughing and the pilot or the other customers being upset in this post-Covid era (of course she is vaccinated for covid and flu). But on the other hand if the child was well enough to go and they weren't going to provide a refund of her ticket, then I wasn't willing to lose the money. They just weren't astute enough to understand this was for the benefit of their business--not my child or myself. On the one hand the business told me not to bring my child when she was prepared to go, and on the other they wouldn't return my money without me going to see a doctor in town to essentially verify that she has a virus. I guess you could justify that if I was trying not to take her but I wasn't. This was for their benefit. Doesn't make sense. Also, most businesses these days prefer you cancel and return your money if viral illness is involved, which seems wise. In any case, it was a weird and time-consuming situation.

Not only do they fly tours daily they also assist in their own community. We needed support with a Helicopter drop for a Golf Tournament and Blue Hawaiian stepped forward to assist in raising dollars for our Kaua'i keiki! Awesome experience in working with their professional team. A huge Mahalo!

An experience you don't want to miss during your visit. High end helicopters paired with equally professional pilots, puts nervous flyers like my wife instantly at ease. Further Recommend purchasing the flight video/ pictures they record via internal/external HD cameras enabling you to put your camera away and enjoy the experience without a camera infront of you.
