We went today and not only is this a great way to see a lot of the Big Island, but also a chance to really experience a helicopter ride. The flight was much more gentle than some “air rides” I’ve experienced that simulate “flying”. Great organization with solid staff from the check in, pre-flight check list and the pilots. Each helicopter holds a pilot and up to six passengers. The downside was if you were in seats 4 & 5. Those are “inside” seats in the back. You can certainly see things out windows and enjoy the experience but there is nothing you will see that will not have the helicopter or a body in the way. Seats 1 & 2 (up front) are prime as are window seats 6 and 3. Even the inflight video camera does not show the person sitting in seat 5, so that part was disappointing. Easy to find, plenty of parking.

Amazing experience! The entire crew was absolutely wonderful. Very thankful for the experience!

Hi im markas i am just back from hawaii oahu and did this island helicopter tour on my last full day 14th January 2026. It was special thanks to all the team and pilot markas same name as me ya cant go wrong with that lol. Id never been in a helicopter before and what a way to do it i could even see the beach from the lost tv show from above its in one of the images ive posted here. Our trip with Pilot Tim was outstanding. We flew into canyons, saw waterfalls, along the coast and ocean we watched whales breach. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and has a great understanding of the Hawaiian culture.

Our pilot Tim was so informative! He really gave us such great & interesting facts throughout our flight. From start to finish the entire experience was well managed & smooth.

We did the waterfall tour in mid January. Our pilot was so energetic and really elevated the experience (pun intended). We flew inside a dormant volcano, next to waterfalls and ever got to see whales. We saw a whole pod as well as multiple other whales jumping and splashing around. A truly memorable experience.

Mike was a wonderful pilot (we didn't die!). This was amazing to see the craters, effects, and hear the history.

This was the experience of a lifetime! Neither my friend nor I had ever been on a helicopter, and she was worried about it and nervous, I was very excited, but not sure how it would be. From the minute the helicopter took off we both loved every moment of it. The pilot, Steve, was incredibly professional while also being warm and friendly. We had a beautiful clear day so the view was spectacular. We paid the full board to sit in the front seat and I would do that again. My only wish is that it could be longer! I definitely recommend Blue Hawaiian as they are very professional and feel very safe and their aircraft appeared to be in great condition. I do want to point out that we were scheduled for Monday, but they called us the night before and said there was no one else scheduled for that flight so they needed to rebook us. That actually worked out well because Monday was forecast to be a stormy day and I think they were planning to go anyway (for other flights.) So we rescheduled for Friday and had a beautiful, clear day. If you are scheduled and the forecast is bad, I recommend you call and request to change your trip
