This was the highlight of our visit to the Big Island. We booked the Big Island Spectacular, and the tour fully lived up to the name. The island is (of course) amazing, with several different climates, and we got to see several of them during the flight. High points included seeing red-hot lava while flying over Kilauea, and an incredible tour of cliffs, valleys, and waterfalls. Plus, we flew out over the ocean and saw whales -- we'd already done a boat-based whale-watching tour, but it's totally different seeing them from the air. Greg, our pilot, was obviously extremely familiar with the island, and his commentary was terrific. (His choice of music was perfect, too.) We'd recommend this to anyone.
WOW!!! Amazing, Derrick was awesome. We saw SO many whales, but beautiful scenery, knowledge of the land! I would go again!
It was an amazing experience from beginning to the end flying with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. The view of Na palii coast and the Jurassic Park falls is mesmerizing. 45 minutes pass by too quickly. Thanks to our pilot Duke for making this such a memorable experience
Bloody marvelous. Gentle trip with spectacular views of and around the island. Worth the spend given the cost of getting to the island in the first place.
It was amazing!! 1st time in a helicopter & you have to accustom yourself to the sounds & vibrations . But the beauty & magnificence of this island is beyond words!!

Flight was awesome but don’t count on the video, ours and other flights didn’t work. So disappointing!! Take your own pictures!! Pilot narration was great and would have been nice to have with video. Update: We were able and to get a video from a different flight. Very happy that this was possible!

Our experience with Blue Hawaiian was one of the highlights of my life, definitely of my trip. Duke was an amazing pilot and the views were unforgettable. We saw whales from the helicopter!
My wife and I had a great experience with Blue Hawaiian a few years ago in Maui. Our ride around Oahu was also excellent. We got very familiar with island from our pilot Chris and his narration. Happy memories.
Coming with no preconceived ideas, this helicopter ride with Blue Hawaiian and James was a spectacular ride! Educational, breathtaking, comfortable!! Seeing Kilauea shooting lava was once in a lifetime! Go!!
