What an amazing experience! Being first time on a helicopter, I wasn’t afraid at all! You must do it ! It’s seeing the island from totally different angle. So many waterfalls, rainbows, mountains and beaches. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

Flight, pilot, ground crew and tour were all amazing! Loved that they had a hydraulic lift chair for people with different abilities. Highly recommend upgrading to the front row seating

My husband and I had a wonderful experience yesterday, our pilot was James and he was extremely knowledgeable and exuded his love of the island and his job of being a pilot. Due to the weather and dense clouds over the volcano we were given the choice of different routes, we chose to land at the base of a major waterfall and it was a lovely experience. They were also honest to refund the 15 minute shorter arrival than the original 1:45 original trip. Highly recommend. Great staff overall.

Ended our wedding/honeymoon trip with this amazing helicopter tour. We did the Kohala Cost adventure and I was speechless the entire flight. Staff and pilot were amazing! We hope to add a waterfall landing on our next Hawaii visit!

We went on the Big Island Spectacular tour and were very impressed with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. Everyone there was professional and kind. We had a few minor hiccups with our first excursion needing to be canceled due to unexpected maintenance and our second needing to go on an altered route due to weather. Throughout these changes, we were offered a complete refund if we didn’t agree to them. We chose to go regardless; it let us know that safety was their primary concern. All alterations were made quickly. The helicopter was stable and comfortable and everyone had good views of all the sites. We were seated in the back with my husband seated in the middle of the aircraft. The couple in the front had the best views. My husband does not tend to be the photographer, so he wasn’t upset by the middle seat. My son and I had good views out the side windows. When we couldn’t see something upon arrival, we were able receive the view upon the return. It is important to understand that weight is critical with regard to helicopter piloting and seating. We were definitely balanced out in the aircraft. We did not have any prior expectations other than to tour the island. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the Mauna Loa crater due to the weather, but flew over Hualālai and various cultural sites instead. Our pilot was an excellent tour guide and knowledgeable about the island. He talked at great length with all of us, even reveling with us at the torrent of the waterfalls on the Kohala Coast caused by the rain storm. Because the pilot picked up that my son is extremely knowledgeable about geology and Hawaiian history, he often asked him questions to move the tour along. It was extremely well done. The landing site was washed out due to the torrential rain, so landing fees were immediately refunded. Everything about this tour was easy and enjoyable. It was definitely a great way to tour the island and see sites that were otherwise inaccessible. It would be particularly breathtaking during an eruption. My husband thought it was enjoyable, but was disappointed that we couldn’t see the larger craters. For me, it was a great way to see the island.

Excellent experience on our flights! We had a full tour which was cut short due to weather but they were able to do a second flight for us which was rescheduled later in the week. Both flights and captains were amazing! Specifically Tim and Kaj! Safety is top priority along with guest experience. Highly recommend the company and the entire tour to see some of the rich natural habitats in Hawaii!

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters are the best. We had a great experience with the Big Island tour with a waterfall landing. The views were stunning and the experience was one we will never forget.

Hans was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly and answered all of our questions. This was the trip of a lifetime for me, and way better than the one I took over Everglades! Thank you so very much for an extraordinary ride!

Want an amazing experience! The staff at Blue Hawaiian go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Our pilot was wonderful, explaining everything and answering all our questions.
